Her music is like an inner voice – not always audible, but always there, and always pure, fragile in their warmth. The harmony of sounds, gracefully waived with the support of an excellent rhythm section – Vit Kristan, Karol Domański and Mariusz Praśniewski – forms a cradle with no chance to escape: not only because it’s so welcoming and comfortable, but also because of the fear our sole presence would distort it’s delicate purity.
The clear air resonates with all sorts of emotions: joy, calmness, serenity, nostalgia for the passing time.
In the era where artists strive to be noticed, Joanna will never seek our attention. Nevertheless, her music is irresistible, because once we lend our ears to it, we realise she sings with our own voice.
